The Vivid Flavors Cookbook
A fun cookbook containing recipes using unusual
flavorings and spices needed a lively cover. (They say that, as with packages
in a
supermarket, one has 7 seconds to catch the eye of the potential buyer in a book
store!)
The design reflects the fun nature of the title and the contents, and the cover
was used
for the hard cover and subsequent paperback version of the book.

The Catholic Woman
This book discusses what it is like to be a contemporary
woman in the Catholic Church. The cover design uses a simple illustration
of a woman's face with a red cross shape in place of her lips, immediately
communicating the content of the book and creating a dramatic and
powerful image. |

L.A. Hot & Hip
This trendy guide to L.A. - The
Ultimate Insider's Guide to Restaurants, Clubs, etc. needed a hip,
colorful cover. (We'll see how long it stays looking hip and cool!) Hand
lettering was used to create a loose, fun feeling, and the cover was
printed in red, black and gold metallic ink. |
